Special Announcement:
"The Americus-Sumter High School 2019 graduation rate is 86.97 percent. We are pleased to be above the state grad rate average of 82 percent. Thank you to the entire faculty and staff for helping our students graduate college and career ready."

Former Students May Be Able to Receive Diploma:  Due to the passage of HB 91 on March 30th, 2015, many students who were not previously able to obtain their high school diploma may now qualify even if they did not pass the GHSGT. If you think you may qualify, fill out the O.C.G. A 20-2-281.1 petition form and return it to the school.

The mission of Americus Sumter High School is to provide a quality and equitable education to all students. We will endeavor to achieve a 100% graduation rate and have all students score above the state and national averages on all standardized tests.

The Sumter County School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in admission to its programs, services, activities, or employment in access to them in treatment of individuals, or in any aspect of their operations.
