Governor Kemp extended the closure of all Georgia public schools through April 24th. Our students and staff will return to school on May 4th, after Spring Break. Teachers will continue communicating with their students and students should continue working on given assignments. 
Parents and Students can now log into their Infinite Campus Portal account to view the 3rd 9 weeks report card. Report cards will not be mailed home so please view the report card in your portal account under Reports.

Dear Community Members,
Sumter County Schools will be extending the closure of our athletic facilities until further notice. This includes all athletic facilities around Americus-Sumter High School and Sumter County Middle School. The safety of everyone during this unprecedented time has called for unprecedented actions. We request that you follow the local social distancing guidelines which have been put in place.

The Sumter County Schools Nutrition Program in partnership with the Sumter County Schools Transportation Department will be delivering meals to sites Friday, March 20th and next week daily Monday thru Friday from 11am to 12:15pm for area children ages 2-18 years of age. Remember children need to be present to receive a meal.  We have added a few other sites to help us reach more of our students in the community.  
The sites are as follows:
Eastview Apartments
Douglas Circle (near the old site of Restoration Church)
Koinonia/ US HWY 49 S (@South Village Drive)
Union Tabernacle
Boone Park
Plains Community Center (moved from Plains Pool Site)
Leslie Police Department
Rock Hill Park
Easter Morning Community (New Horizons)
Sumter County Head Start (Back Parking Lot)
Andersonville United Methodist 
Bell Street Park (Bessie Mays/Oak Avenue Area )
Please be prepared to grab your lunches and store what
you don't eat right away in the refrigerator for later!

"The Americus-Sumter High School 2019 graduation rate is 86.97 percent. We are pleased to be above the state grad rate average of 82 percent. Thank you to the entire faculty and staff for helping our students graduate college and career ready." 

Former Students May Be Able to Receive Diploma:  Due to the passage of HB 91 on March 30th, 2015, many students who were not previously able to obtain their high school diploma may now qualify even if they did not pass the GHSGT. If you think you may qualify, fill out the O.C.G. A 20-2-281.1 petition form and return it to the school.
